Ratina Z 23 / 12 / 2010 Yesterday the incredible mare Ratina Z (Ramiro Z - Alme Z) deceased at the age of 28 on the side of Ludger Beerbaum in his stables in the German Riesenbeck. With the loss of Ratina Z Belgium loses one of her most famous sporthorses ever bred. Ratina Z won the gold medal at the Olymics twice, won dozens of Grand Prix and Nations Cup competitions, gold at world championships and gold at European championships. Ratina Z received the name 'mare of the century'. Today Ratina Z leaves three sons for breeding today: Crown Z (Carthago Z), Z Treasure (Tlaloc la Silla) and Comme il Faut (Cornet Obolensky). At Zangersheide where Ratina Z was bred by Leon Melchior, they have still three clones by Ratina Z. We thank Ratina Z, Leon Melchior and Ludger Beerbaum for all great moments in sport this mare gave us!
